A series of three pieces exploring the discrepancy between the number of people registered (waiting) for organ transplant surgery vs. the number who actual receive it. Data from the Organ Transplant Procurement Network in 2010.

Renal Labyrinth – Of 95,800 People waiting for kidney transplants in the US, only 16,900 (1 in 5.6) received an organ in 2010.
Hepatic Labyrinth – Of 16,970 People waiting for kidney transplants in the US, only 6,290 (1 in 2.7) received an organ in 2010.
Pancreatic Labyrinth – Of 1,370 People waiting for pancreas transplants in the US, only 350 (1 in 4) received an organ in 2010.
